Peter Lancaster spent his childhood with his family in Suva. These early experiences of Fiji had a lasting influence on Lancaster’s life. His childhood years were instrumental in his skill development as an artist and printmaker. The family returned to Melbourne Australia when Lancaster was in his early teens retaining close ties with Fiji, returning frequently over the years.

Lancaster completed his fine art printmaking studies in Australia and travelled to the USA to complete further training as a master printmaker. Lancaster set up his first workshop in Melbourne in 1989. Working with some of Australia’s most prominent artists. He also lectured and taught at Universities across Australia.

In 2017 Lancaster returned to Fiji establishing the first Fine Art Lithography studio and gallery on the Coral Coast. Lancaster’s artwork references the local landscape, foliage, and the villages on the coral Coast.
