BSG Editions

BSG Editions, founded by Sean Smith in 2024, operates through Brunswick Street Gallery and facilitates collaborative print projects with select artists connected to the gallery’s extensive network of Indigenous art centres across the Northern Territory and Western Australia. The studio has facilities to work in relief, intaglio and screen printing methods. Although formally established in 2024, Sean has been facilitating projects and editioning prints for more than fifteen years. The studio has organically grown from his long-standing relationships with many of Australia’s leading art centres, including Buku-Larrnggay Mulka Centre, Elcho Island Arts, Milingimbi Art and Culture, Yarrenyty Arltere Artists, Mowanjum Aboriginal Arts and Culture Centre, and Ngukurr Arts. More recently, the studio has expanded its practice to include collaborations with select non-Indigenous artists based in Victoria.

With close to two decades of experience initiating art and print projects, Sean brings extensive technical expertise and cultural understanding to each project. After completing his Honours in Fine Arts at the College of Fine Arts (NSW), he refined his printmaking skills at Basil Hall Editions and Northern Editions, before moving to remote communities to work in—and later manage—various art centres.

In 2026, BSG Editions will further expand its program to include print-based projects with select Melbourne-based artists represented by Brunswick Street Gallery.
